SUMMARY:Adventure Together - Thursdays in July & August
DESCRIPTION:Join Kayla and Krista for a summer full of adventures and fun!  Every Thursday at 10 AM from July 3rd\, 2025-August 22rd\, 2025 SAPCC Traveling Playgroup will visit a new\, fun\, educational location!! SAPCC provides admission costs\, $20 gas cards for families in need each travel week and lunch for each family! Please note that on the weeks that the group is walking\, lunch and gas cards are NOT provided! Trips will happen every other week and on our off weeks we will visit different nature areas around the region! While walking around the different nature areas there will be different activities for the families to do as well as exploring the grounds around them. \n**Registration is required to attend\, Parents/caregivers must attend with their children** \nThis summer we will visit the following locations: \n\n\nSchedule for July: \n\n\n\n\nJuly 3rd – Trip to Billings Farm in Woodstock VT. \n\n\nJuly 10th – Walk at Power Dam in Perkinsville VT. \n\n\nJuly 17th – Trip to VINS in Quechee VT. \n\n\nJuly 24th – Walk at Distant Hill in Walpole NH. \n\n\nJuly 31st – Walk at Patch Park in Charlestown NH. \n\n\n\n\nSchedule for August: \n\n\n\n\nAugust 7th – Trip to Montshire in Norwich VT. \n\n\nAugust 14th – Trip to Silver Lake in Barnard VT. \n\n\nFriday August 22nd – Overnight Camping Trip at Plymouth State Park. Did you know that there are signs to look out for indicating your baby is ready for this process? Come and chat with our Speech Language Pathologist\, Meaghan Wilson\, and Physical Therapist\, Annalise Lawrence about what\, when\, where\, and how to begin introducing solids to your baby! Topics of discussion include:\n The different approaches to feeding your baby solid food\n High chairs and ideal positioning for exploring solid food\n Utensils and cups that are developmentally appropriate\n The difference between gagging\, coughing\, and choking\n Sensory issues that can come up with certain textures and flavors\n Typical first foods and the amount of solid food your baby will eat\n Following your baby’s cues to know when to give more and when to be all done\nWe will also focus on the importance of a meal time routine and some simple strategies to incorporate that work on other areas of development during meals/snacks.\nAll parents\, caregivers and their children are welcome!\nDrop-In chat – No registration required
