Join the Springfield Area Parent Child Center (SAPCC) for an engaging, interactive workshop led by Child Integrated Services Developmental Educator Alexis Palmer at the Rockingham Public Library on Tuesday, September 15, from 11:30 AM–1:00 PM.

Whether you’re new to special education or simply want a better understanding of the IEP process, this workshop will provide practical guidance and helpful tools to empower you as your child’s advocate.

During this workshop, you’ll learn:

  • Your parental rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)
  • How the special education and IEP process works
  • Who makes up the IEP team and the important role each member plays
  •   The difference between an IEP and a Section 504 Plan—and which supports may be appropriate for your child
