Join SAPCC Mental Health Clinician Dominique Rondeau and Children’s Integrated Services Developmental Educator Alexis Palmer for an informative and supportive workshop designed for parents and caregivers of neurodivergent children.

Gain a deeper understanding of how neurodivergent brains process the world and discover practical, compassionate strategies to help your child feel safe, supported, and understood. Together, we’ll explore ways to move beyond power struggles by focusing on connection, regulation, and building resilience.

You’ll Learn About:

  • Understanding the neurodivergent nervous system
  • Sensory seeking and sensory avoiding behaviors
  • The difference between meltdowns and tantrums
  • Regulation-first parenting strategies
  • Creating simple sensory supports and daily routines
  • Making transitions easier with visual tools and predictable schedules
  • Supporting your own nervous system and reducing parent burnout

This workshop emphasizes compassion over correction and provides practical, evidence-informed tools that you can begin using right away.

Whether your child has a diagnosis, you’re exploring concerns, or you’re simply looking for new parenting strategies, all caregivers are welcome.
