33rd Annual WOYC Family Festival and Touch-A-Truck

The 33rd Annual Week of the Young Child Family Festival & Touch-A-Truck was a joyful celebration of community, connection, and the importance of building strong foundations for young children and families. This year’s construction-themed event brought together nearly 500 attendees for a day full of hands-on fun, learning, and exploration.
Families enjoyed a wide variety of activities in the gym, thanks to our incredible booth presenters. A heartfelt thank you to the Lion’s Club, Turning Point Recovery of Springfield, VT, HCRS, Talking is Teaching, Neighbors Together, Vermont Department of Children and Families, VT & NH Photo Booths, As We Grow Childcare, Windsor County Mentors, Springfield Fire Department, North Star Health, Bright Beginnings, Perkinsville Preschool, Easterseals, SEVCA Head Start, and the Springfield Department of Health. Your creativity and dedication helped make the day engaging and meaningful for all who attended.
We are also deeply grateful to our event partner, Edgar May Health & Recreation Center, for coordinating an impressive lineup of over thirty vehicles from local businesses and organizations. The Touch-A-Truck experience gave kids—and kids at heart—the chance to climb aboard, explore, and learn about the vehicles that help keep our communities running every day.
From constructing objects and snacks to enjoying story time and interactive play, there was something for everyone. It was truly a wonderful morning of celebration, highlighting the power of community and the importance of supporting families from the very beginning.
Here are some highlights from the day:
