🔥🚒 Learning About Fire Safety! 🚒🔥

Our kiddos have had some very special visitors!

Joel, a firefighter with the Lebanon Fire Department, stopped by to talk with our preschoolers about fire safety and show them some of the gear firefighters wear during an emergency.

The children had the opportunity to see and touch his helmet and face mask while learning an important lesson: Firefighters may look and sound different when wearing their protective gear, but they are there to help! Joel reminded the children that if they ever encounter a firefighter during an emergency, they should never be afraid to ask for help or hide from them.

Our kiddos also welcomed Jenna, a firefighter with the Springfield Fire Department! All the children in PlayWorks had a wonderful time exploring the inside and outside of a real fire truck and getting an up-close look at the equipment firefighters use.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Joel and the Lebanon Fire Department, and Jenna and the Springfield Fire Department, for taking the time to visit our kiddos and help them learn about fire safety. We appreciate our community helpers and the important lessons they share with our little ones! ❤️
