Alexis Palmer
CIS Early Intervention Developmental Educator

I am in my third year at SAPCC, and I work as a CIS Early Intervention Developmental Educator (DE).

In my role, I partner with families and caregivers to assess developmental needs, create meaningful goals, and provide play-based, evidence-informed support that helps children grow and thrive. I also coach caregivers so they feel confident supporting their child’s development during everyday routines.

Every family is different, which means my work is always evolving based on what each family wants and needs.

What I love most about this work is walking alongside families on their journey. I love celebrating the smallest wins, watching families make progress toward their goals, and being there to help problem-solve and adjust when challenges arise.

I’m also grateful for the passion, care, and collaboration I get to share with families, caregivers, educators, specialists, and my coworkers. SAPCC has given me opportunities to support parent education, including education advocacy sessions that I care deeply about.

SAPCC makes me feel seen, strong, and supported—and that allows me to help the families I work with feel the same way. 💛
